![]() Arbiter recall would work to take out the economy, but don't bother trying to take on the choke from behind. So far I liked Raslin's idea the most, 'mass carriers', even though I thought it was a joke at first. Mastman - 3cors/3templars followed by ground sounds good. JediKnight - Templars, Hallucinate upgrade, 4 Arbiters, Statis upgrade, Recall upgrade? That just costs too much. I'll be honest, this kept me up last night, thinking whether or not Gods were better than Wraiths, as you don't have to track down wandering Wraiths.īlackHunter - Why are you sieging the tanks last, and sending in ranged attackers? Games like these have a good way of letting me know that Wraith AI is quite terrible, as it'll get confused and follow a unit for a while before shooting it down. After you plan one time, you'll get the hang of it. I probably left something out, and it might look confusing, but it's really not. I've tried with up to 4 hotkeys of wraiths (total of 48) following 1 wraith, and I cannot for the life of me get them to stay in the trigger. By now, I call bullshit on this so-called "corsair" 25 wraiths = 1 corsair. There are also 2 secret units, a wraith and a corsair. After you've got enough defense, you can get "Gods" (4 super hydras = 1 god, a superpowered marine). Doing so will allow you to spawn lots of super hydras. You want to do this, as you can build a hatchery at the middle spawn, and you can drop a drone which will allow you to mine minerals. The goal is to farm your spawn, and sacrifice overlords so you can get more civilians so you can buy the Transport upgrade. It's ok to leak, as long as you're ramping up to produce "Super Hydras" which basically one-shot everything for the first 10 or so levels. Hatcheries are so you can create free units (overlords) and sacrifice them for civilians, which you will then turn into minerals. At the beginning, you should sacrifice all your hydras for civilians (2 units = 1 civilian) and buy drones, so you can build hatcheries. There are 7 spots total, 3 on the left, 3 on the right, and 1 in the middle. *note* This is only for the map I play "Hydra D Elite V.1.4", I have no idea what other maps are like. My internet videogame tough guy cred would go through the roof!Īgoaj - add me to your friend's list and whisper me if you see me (j.crew) ![]() I wouldn't mind playing one of those def maps if I could finally say I won one of those things. If there's interest in this, I'll post all I know later on, and hopefully a bunch of us can get on at one time and crush the overflowing flying shitty shits. Luckily I paid attention to someone who knew what they were doing (had to, since they wouldn't explain what they were doing, *fist shake* something I don't understand at all, in a game like this, you need all the help you can get, why not share information if someone's willing to learn?). ![]() ![]() This map isn't difficult at all to play, but you MUST have someone who's played it before, as there's a bunch of stupid triggers that aren't apparent at first. Is there anyone who would be interested in beating this with me? The ever elusive imba corsair is what is driving me to play this game, and it's pretty frustrating when people start dropping one by one after you've been playing this for an hour (this just happened to me, people started quitting, I was left with one other guy, and I couldn't plug the spawn in time, so we leaked, =/). Like most UMS, it's pretty frustrating, as you might be able to find one person who knows what they're doing, 2 people who are new (I don't mind teaching people what to do), and then you have the rest filled with "pros" who insist they know what they're doing, yet completely falling for what the map maker intended. So.I've been playing a UMS lately called Hydra Def. ![]()
